Grant Recipients
For the year ending April 30, 2009, The Village Woman's Club Foundation awarded grants to 42 agencies in the total amount of $77,000. All agencies awarded a grant were interviewed by Grants Committee members to evaluate the agency's program, services and finances. The five largest grants represent the seventhset of awards from the Shea Charitable Trust. This support is possible because of the Celia June K. Shea Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust, a fund within the Foundation created by the family of June Shea in 2003.
